How to export Thunderbird emails as EML
Thunderbird is one of the easiest email clients for working with EML files. It can save individual messages as email files, and in many setups you can also drag messages from Thunderbird into a folder before converting them.
Save messages as EML
Select one or more messages in Thunderbird and use the available save/export option for email files. In many cases, saved messages will use the .eml extension. You can then add those files to EML2HTML Studio.
Batch conversion
If you export several Thunderbird messages, drag them all into the converter and use Download all as ZIP. This creates an organized archive of converted HTML files, and can include inline images and attachments when that option is enabled.
Drag and drop support
Some users can drag email messages directly from Thunderbird into a browser drop zone, but support depends on the browser, operating system and Thunderbird version. If direct dragging does not work, save the files to a folder first and then select or drop them into the converter.
Why convert Thunderbird EML to HTML?
HTML files are easy to open in any browser, preview without an email client and store with project files. For long-term records, keep both the original EML and the converted HTML or PDF.
